Job Overview:
As a CDL Driver specializing in oilfield and heavy haul operations, you will be a crucial member of our team, transporting essential equipment and materials safely and efficiently. We are seeking an experienced and skilled driver with a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a proven track record in oilfield logistics and heavy haul operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Heavy Haul Transport:
• Safely operate and maneuver heavy haul trucks, transporting oversized loads to and from oilfield locations.
2. Load Management:
• Determine load specifications, secure and balance loads appropriately, and comply with weight regulations.
3. Oilfield Logistics:
• Navigate and transport equipment and materials within oilfield sites, adhering to safety protocols and site-specific guidelines.
4. Equipment Operation:
• Operate specialized heavy equipment, such as winches and hydraulic systems, required for loading and unloading heavy cargo.
5. Safety Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including pre-trip inspections, load securement, and compliance with DOT and industry standards.
6. Route Planning:
• Plan efficient and safe routes, considering road restrictions, weather conditions, and project timelines.
7. Communication:
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch, site managers, and fellow drivers to ensure seamless coordination of transportation activities.
8. Emergency Response:
• Demonstrate proficiency in emergency response procedures, including securing loads and coordinating with on-site personnel.
9. Documentation:
• Complete accurate and timely logs, reports, and documentation, including bills of lading and permits.
10. Equipment Maintenance:
• Conduct routine inspections of the truck and associated equipment, reporting any issues for prompt resolution.
Qualifications:
• Valid CDL with appropriate endorsements for heavy haul operations.
• Proven experience in heavy haul and oilfield transportation.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations governing commercial transportation.
