Responsibilities:
1. Assist in Crane Setup:
• Support the team in assembling and disassembling cranes, ensuring all components are in proper working order.
2. Rigging Support:
• Aid in rigging activities, including attaching slings, hooks, and other lifting accessories to loads under the guidance of experienced operators.
3. Load Identification:
• Help identify load specifications, including weight, dimensions, and center of gravity, to ensure proper equipment selection.
4. Site Preparation:
• Assist in conducting site assessments, clearing debris, and preparing the area for safe crane operations.
5. Equipment Maintenance:
• Participate in routine equipment inspections and maintenance tasks, reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
6. Communication Support:
• Work closely with the crane operator and signal persons to facilitate clear communication during lifts.
7. Safety Compliance:
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure work environment, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
8. Learn Operational Procedures:
• Train under experienced operators to understand operational procedures and gradually acquire the skills necessary for advancement.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic understanding of mechanical concepts is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
